Russian companions in Dubai
Russian speakers have been a visible part of Dubai since long before the recent arrivals, and the community is well established rather than newly formed. Russian companions here tend to know the city from the inside rather than as a destination.

An older presence than people assume
The Russian-speaking presence in Dubai dates back to the trade that followed the end of the Soviet Union, and parts of Deira were doing business in Russian decades before the Marina existed. Recent arrivals have added to a community that already had its own shops, schools, restaurants and professional networks. Someone listed here may have grown up in Dubai or arrived last year, and that difference is worth asking about.
Marina, JBR and Jumeirah
The community clusters along the coast — the Marina, JBR, Jumeirah and increasingly Dubai Hills. These are the parts of the city built for walking, eating outdoors and spending the evening near water, which suits a social culture that treats a long dinner as the default rather than a special occasion. Expect an evening that is unhurried and does not need an itinerary.
Russian as a regional lingua franca
Russian is far more useful in Dubai than a map of Russia would suggest. It is the common language across Kazakh, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Belarusian, Armenian, Georgian and many Ukrainian residents, which makes a Russian-speaking companion useful well beyond Russian company. Most listed here also speak English; the individual listings say what else.
Verified before listing
No listing on this page went public until the person recorded a short video on this site and a moderator checked it against her photographs. The tick is a statement about identity — that the photographs show her — and about nothing else.
What an evening tends to look like
The social culture runs long. Dinner is not a slot before something else happens; it is the evening, and it is entirely normal for it to stretch for hours without anyone checking the time. Conversation tends to be direct — questions get asked and answered rather than circled around — which visitors from more indirect cultures sometimes read as abrupt before they recognise it as straightforwardness. Expect a degree of care in how an evening is dressed for, and almost none in how it is talked through. The two things sit together more comfortably than they sound.
