Spanish-speaking companions in Dubai
Spanish is spoken by Dubai's Latin American and Spanish residents, a small community concentrated in hospitality, fitness, dance and the arts — and therefore heavily represented in the parts of the city people actually go out in.

Small community, visible footprint
Spanish speakers are not numerous in Dubai by the standards of the Indian, Filipino or Arab populations. But they are concentrated in restaurants, hotels, gyms, dance studios and events work, which puts them at the centre of the city's social machinery rather than at its edge. Someone listed here often knows Dubai's nightlife from the production side rather than as a customer.
Latin Dubai is real, not a theme
The city has a steady circuit of salsa and bachata nights that has been running for years with its own regulars, alongside a great deal of hotel programming that is marketing rather than scene. A Spanish-speaking companion will know which is which. If the evening you have in mind involves actually dancing rather than watching, this is a more useful page than most.
Spain and Latin America are not interchangeable
A Madrid accent and a Colombian one are different conversations, and the social expectations differ too. The directory covers both, along with Spanish-speaking residents who arrived via other countries entirely. Where your evening involves visitors from a particular country, it is worth reading the listings rather than relying on the language alone.
What the tick means
No listing in this directory went public until a short video recorded on this site had been checked by a moderator against the person's photographs. The tick confirms identity, and does not pretend to confirm anything else.
When the evening is actually about dancing
If that is the plan, this page and the Portuguese one are where to start. The city's genuine Latin circuit is small, mostly mid-week, and built around a handful of venues with regulars who have been going for years. It runs alongside a much larger quantity of hotel programming that borrows the name. The difference is obvious from inside the community and invisible from outside it, which is the entire reason to ask someone who knows.
